James "Jay" Morley is the past president and CEO of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), a Washington, DC based organization serving over 2,100 colleges and universities. He has spoken extensively on matters related to college and university business, financial strategy and operations in campus and professional development settings. He is a retired Colonel, USMC Reserve.
He served in senior financial and administrative roles at four universities with direct responsibility for: accounting and financial operations, facilities and real estate management, human resources, administrative information systems and business support functions.
Since retirement from NACUBO in 2006 Jay has consulted on assignments related to strategy and implementation related to governance, financial, administrative and organizational management to schools, colleges, universities and nonprofits
