Dr. Lori Bennett

Dr. Lori Bennett has served as President of Clovis Community College for over six years. She began her career in marketing, working for banking and consumer products companies including a Fortune 500 company, and owned and managed her own small business, before entering education in 1992 as a part-time faculty member at Tacoma Community College and Highline Community College in Washington.

In California she served as a tenured faculty member, Department Chair, Dean, and Executive Vice President of Instruction and Student Services at Moorpark College. She is an innovative, collegial, and collaborative leader, and a program builder with a focus on student completion.

Selected experience

• Under her leadership Clovis Community College enrollment grew more than 40% over six years, and the college was named a Champion of Higher Education five years in a row for its work awarding associate degrees for transfer
• Led development of a new 60,000 square foot Applied Technology building and a college-wide vision for new transfer and career technical education programs
• Vice President of the Chief Executive Officers of California Community Colleges and Co-Chair of the CEO Strategic Leadership Program
• Served on several ACCJC accreditation peer review teams and California Community Colleges Institutional Effectiveness Partnership Initiative peer review teams
• Board of Trustees for Community Health Systems Finance and Planning Committee; Board of Directors, Clovis Chamber of Commerce
• Fresno K-16 Collaborative Executive Steering Committee and the Central Valley Higher Education Consortium
