Wallin, Desna L.
Dr. Desna L. Wallin joined the faculty of the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy at the University of Georgia in 2001. Her primary consulting interests are in leadership development, adult learning, community development, and continuing professional development. She has had more than 25 years of experience in community and technical colleges beginning as an adjunct English instructor at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois. From 1989 to 1995 she served as President of Clinton Community College in Clinton, Iowa. From 1995-2001 she served as President of Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, NC. She is an honors history graduate of Brigham Young University, earned her MA in English Education at Eastern Illinois University, and her EdD in Postsecondary Curriculum and Instruction/Administration from Illinois State University.
