David Gingerella is the Vice President for Administration and Finance / CFO at Northern Essex Community College, he is directly responsible for all Financial and Auxiliary Services at the College. David is known as a leader that possesses effective and positive written and oral communications skills. He continuously demonstrates his commitment to students by developing innovative plans and solutions to their unmet needs. David’s passion for community colleges has led to his selection to NACUBO’s Community College Constitute Council and this past July he completed his second year as the unanimous choice to be the Chairman of the Massachusetts Community College CFO Council. A true team builder, David is accustomed to bringing complicated and delicate situations to a successful conclusion without creating friction by professionally using tact and diplomacy. Prior to joining Northern Essex, David accumulated 20 years of Higher Education experience, first as a Dean at Roger Williams University followed by a successful tenure as a Senior Director of Business Operations at Yale University. At Yale, David served as the first Director of Shared Services. He designed and implemented a business operations structure that has since been adapted by the entire University. He also created a professional development program for middle managers that provided training that allowed them to move on to senior business operation positions. At Roger Williams University, David served as both an Administrative and Academic Dean, with his last position being the Dean of Continuing Education. It was in this role that David developed his passion for working with non-traditional students. David has served on ten New England Association of Schools and College’s (NEASC) Academic Accreditation Teams. He is considered an expert in NEASC Standard Eight; Physical and Technological Resources and Standard Nine; Financial Resources.
David has a Master of Business Administration from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science, Accounting from Roger Williams University at Bristol.
