Dr. Patricia Flanigan has 28 years of experience in higher education as a faculty member and administrator at Mt. San Antonio College, Lake Tahoe Community College, and Saddleback College. Over several decades, she has been actively involved in issues unique to California Community Colleges, especially in the areas of Online Education, Strategic Planning, Enrollment Management, Basic Skills, Student Success, Accreditation, and Faculty Professional Development. In recent years, she has provided campus-wide Leadership and Management in the areas for online teaching and learning, library services, tutoring, and learning resources and student support. She is an expert in online education program management, team building, conflict management, shared decision-making, leadership, and student success with a focus on accountability and enrollment. As an Academic Administrator, Patti has developed and implemented strategies to increase enrollment growth and student success rates through the strategic planning and execution of quality instruction and student support services. She is a champion of collaborative partnerships and relationship building among the diverse constituency groups, including management, administration, faculty, and staff. Her leadership style comprises of creating a shared vision based upon open communication, collaborative problem-solving, and mutual respect and trust.
