Jane Cebelak has been affiliated with Community College education for over 35 years starting in the role of nursing faculty and then serving as the nursing administrator for associate degree programs at Kalamazoo Valley Community College ( Michigan), El Paso Community College ( Texas) ,Waukesha Technical College (Wisconsin) and most recently at Indian River State College (Florida.) Jane also served as a consultant to associate degree nursing programs across the State of New Mexico assisting with their development of their psychiatric nursing curriculum. In her current role as Dean of Health Sciences at Indian River State College, Jane administers over twenty Health Science programs including certificate, associate and baccalaureate degrees. Jane is actively involved in and well versed in the specialized accreditation for various Health Science programs . Jane has served as a National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC) site visitor since 1995 and has served as an NLNAC accreditation team leader for 15 years, conducting multiple visits each year. Jane also serves as site visitor for Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education. She has chaired the Deans and Directors of Nursing groups in Texas, Wisconsin and Florida, served as a board member of the Florida Center for Nursing ,and serves as Health Science Curriculum Framework Review Co-Chair for the Florida Department of Education. Jane has served on multiple local, state and national committees on health related issues, including the recruitment and retention of nurses and nursing faculty.
