Bartow, Margaret F.
Margaret Bartow has achieved a record of success in a broad range of positions, starting as a community college faculty member, and subsequently including administrative assignments as director of planning, vice president for academic affairs, executive vice president, and provost. These positions have included service in Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Margaret has also served in statewide community college governance roles, including director of instructional programs for an 18-community college system. She can offer her expertise in accreditation issues, strategic and enrollment management planning, academic program review. Additional skills include organizational development, including recruitment, screening, and training of mid-level and executive-level academic administrators. She has also been extensively involved in leading institutional programs designed to strengthen student retention and completion, including Achieving the Dream and Completion by Design. Margaret holds an Ed.M. from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and an Ed.D. in Higher Education from The University of Maryland.
